When should the home owner arrange a Snagging Survey Inspection?Producing a snagging report within the Builders Warranty Period is sufficient, typically the warranty period is within 2 years of purchasing a newly built home from the developer however some builders warranties can be for a longer period. FAQ 3 |
What is the purpose of having a Snagging Survey Inspection? The report can be used for presentation to the house developer who is responsible for putting things right if a new-build home has defects. The report can initiate a response whereby the developer may not respond to the new home buyer without a standardised report being completed by an industry expert. If the home owner does not act within the 2 year time limit period of the builders warranty they will need to rectify any faults themselves.
