Renuntio Traditional Timber / OAK FRAMED Buildings:
SIPs a modern cost effective energy efficient method of construction which has insulation incorporated within the SIPs panels they are strong and do not require a timber frame.
Quicker to install
SIPs is considered to be an innovating method of house building, a factory built panelised building system.
It arrives on site delivered and ready to erect which is quicker than traditional methods of building each panel fits together like a jigsaw and the main structure can be completed in just a matter of days.
History of SIPs
SIPs is not a new idea and has been around since the 1930's in Madison, Winsconsin where sandwich panel technology emerged.
Architect Frank Lloyd Wright was innovating with developing the idea but the panels did not contain insulation.
Alan B Dow, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright experimented and created an insulated core and because of this he often gets credited with creating the first structural insulation panel (SIPs) becaue of the energy efficiency measures that he introduced and the preservation of natural resources.
